Foot Relief Multi Tasking

Today's tip was pretty revolutionary when I figured it out.... When I'm in a hurry I sit on the edge of my tub to shave my legs.
I'm not really one to sit at the couch and soak my feet but I've recently found my
self needing to soak them regularly to ease the "Uhg" of being on my feet to long. So rather then sitting on the couch to relax my toes I pour my salts into my tub and soak my feet while shaving my legs. Multi-tasking at it's best. :)

Have a wonderful day everyone!!!

To The Hairstylist We Go...

If you're anything like me your hair is shall we say difficult for hairstylists to work with. You see my hair isn't straight and it's not curly either, it has this weird wave thing going on. Because of this when my hair gets cut it ends up being uneven when I straighten it. About a year ago a stylist friend of mine gave me a great tip to help get the cut I want that honestly had me realizing I should have thought of it long ago... The tip? Straighten your hair before you go for your hair cut.
Here's a bonus tip for you.... Section your hair to make straightening your hair easier. I put my hair up into a half pony tail separating it into four sections using little claws to section off the top parts (roll them into buns).

After you straighten the bottom, pull the lower half to one side of your neck then brush out one of the buns and straighten the top. After that flip your heair to the other side of your neck and finish off the last bun.

There you go, all straight... Well as straight as my hair gets anyways. LOL!

Before you head out the door... Use one of your little claws or a hat to keep your hair out the way, you don't want to put it in a pony tail or bun because that will cause creases in your hair.

One more quick tip for you.... Find an amazing hair stylist! Love my hair thank you Starr!!!

Have a wonderful evening everyone and thank you so much for stopping by!

Wash On, Wash Off

Couldn't help but go with a corny title for this one as I really couldn't come up with anything better. LOL!!!
Okay, down to business.... I struggle with acne a lot and have finally come to a regiment that seems to keep the painful, icky little dots off of my face for the most part, and felt that I should share it with you.
First of all, I take Biotin which is for skin, nails, and hair though honestly I never really noticed a difference in my nails or hair, but I have noticed a difference with my skin. I feel I should make a disclaimer here and tell you to speak to your doctor first before taking Biotin if you chose to take it, just to make sure it's the right thing for you to do.

Now for the face washing... I wash my face with warm/hot water which opens up the pores. Then I use Biore Deep Pore Charcoal Cleaner and gently massage it into my skin.

After washing the soap off of my face I turn on the cold water and rinse my face a couple more times to close my pores.

Gently pat your face dry, then apply your preferred acne treatment (I also applied some under eye refresher as well).

Apply your moisturizer. Apply your moisturizer gently, don't rub it in all the way, instead let your skin soak it in on its own. If your face turns red from rubbing the moisturizer in then you rubbed too hard.
I still get a pimple here and there on occasion but nothing like I used to. I'm always on the look out for new tips to try to control acne so if you have any ideas feel free to fill me in.
Have a great day everyone!

Doggone Good

For most people giving their dogs medicine is pretty easy, a bit of peanut butter and the pill is gone. But, for those of you with dogs like mine (allergic to EVERYTHING including peanuts), this trick is not going to work. For a long time I had to make my boy take his pill by putting it as far back in his mouth as I could and massaging his throat. But neither of us liked this method very much. I was thrilled when his vet gave me another idea that my dog isn't allergic to. So today I will show you how I get my dog Bandit to take his allergy pill with out any fighting whats so ever!
All you need is Cream Cheese....

Scoop a little cream cheese onto a fork or spoon. Put the pill into the cream cheese then wrap the pill with it, kind of like a pill pocket, but a bit messier.

Here you can see my Bandit waiting very patiently to take his pill.

I love this trick and am so grateful to the vet for telling me about it, it's amazing.
Have a great week everyone.
